We are a direct-pay practice, which means we do not bill insurance. This model allows us to spend more time with each patient and provide truly personalized care without the restrictions that insurance companies impose. Currently, Dr. Strand is licensed to practice in Washington state only. All telehealth patients must be located within Washington state at the time of their appointment.
Yes. We offer real-time audio-visual telehealth visits for patients anywhere in Washington state. Many of our follow-up appointments and check-ins are conducted via telehealth for your convenience.
We prescribe both brand-name and compounded GLP-1 medications. Semaglutide (the active ingredient in Ozempic and Wegovy) and Tirzepatide (the active ingredient in Mounjaro and Zepbound) are available as brand-name or compounded formulations. Most patients choose compounded for significant cost savings, and because we have zero markup on medications, you pay exactly what the pharmacy charges us.
